Returns & Warranty Policy

AAA Trailers is committed to delivering high-quality trailers and components built for durability, performance, and reliability. This Returns & Warranty Policy outlines the conditions under which we support the products we sell and services we perform, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law (ACL).



1. Definitions

  • Buyer: The original purchaser listed on the AAA Trailers invoice.

  • Goods: Trailers or components sold by AAA Trailers.

  • Components: Any part, accessory, or system supplied by AAA Trailers.

  • Repairs: Any repair or service work conducted by AAA Trailers.

  • Warranty: The Limited Warranty is outlined in this policy.



2. Warranty Coverage

AAA Trailers warrants that:


  • The goods and Components are of merchantable quality, fit for purpose, and free from defects for 12 months from the date of manufacture.

  • AAA Trailers’ repairs will be carried out with due care and skill and are warranted for 12 months from completion.


3. What’s Not Covered (Warranty Limitations)

This Warranty does not cover:


  • Normal wear and tear (e.g., tyres, brake pads, bearings).

  • Lack of maintenance or failure to service.

  • Misuse, overloading, or use outside the intended scope.

  • Unauthorised modifications or repairs.

  • Damage from accidents, environmental exposure (e.g., rust, weather), or improper storage.

  • Second-hand or used wheels and tyres.

  • Costs associated with third-party transportation, service, or installation.


4. How to Make a Warranty Claim

All warranty claims must be submitted via the AAA Trailers warranty claim form here.


Claims must be lodged within the product’s warranty period.


The customer must provide sufficient evidence of the failure for the claim to be considered valid.


Third-party repairs require prior written authorisation from AAA Trailers.


This ensures your claim is directed to the correct team quickly.



Information Required

When submitting your claim, please include:


  • A clear description of the issue or fault

  • Proof of purchase (invoice or receipt)

  • Photos or videos may be requested during the assessment process, depending on the nature of the issue



Product Return (If Required)

If your claim requires inspection or repair, you may be instructed to return the product or component to AAA Trailers.


Return shipping or transport costs are the Buyer’s responsibility, unless otherwise agreed in writing.



Important Notes

  • Claims must be submitted within the 12-month warranty period from the date of manufacture or repair.

  • Do not arrange repairs through third parties without prior written authorisation from AAA Trailers.

  • Failure to follow this process may result in your claim being denied or delayed.

5. Resolution Process

Subject to Australian Consumer Law and at AAA Trailers’ sole discretion, we may:


  • Repair the Goods or Components
  • Replace the Goods or Components
  • Refund the original purchase price

For previous repairs performed by AAA Trailers, we may:


  • Re-perform the repair, or
  • Refund the cost of the original repair

Processing Time: We aim to assess all claims within 10 business days of receiving the returned item(s). Repair or replacement times may vary depending on product type and parts availability.


Repaired items may include refurbished components. Any replaced parts become the property of AAA Trailers.


6. Australian Consumer Law Rights

This Warranty is in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to:


  • A replacement or refund for a major failure

  • Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage

  • Repair or replacement if the Goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure is not major



ACL protections apply if:

  • The product value is under $40,000 (unless purchased for commercial re-supply or transformation)

  • The Goods are used for personal, domestic, or household use

  • The trailer is used primarily for the transport of goods on public roads


7. Change of Mind Returns

AAA Trailers does not accept change-of-mind returns, unless otherwise required by law. Please ensure the trailer you select meets your requirements before purchase.



8. Additional Product-Specific Notes

Some trailer models or components may carry unique warranty terms. These will be specified on your invoice, product listing, or in-store documentation where applicable.
